Answers to common questions about sworn translations in Poland.
A sworn (certified) translation is performed by a translator registered with the Polish Ministry of Justice. Each page carries an official round stamp, the translator's signature, and a repertorium number, giving the document legal force. This is the only type of translation accepted by Polish courts, government offices, and the civil registry.
Whenever a Polish authority, court, university, or other government body requires a translated document. Common examples include birth certificates, marriage certificates, diplomas, school transcripts, driving licences, and powers of attorney.
English and German translations start from 55 PLN per standard page (1,125 characters incl. spaces) into Polish and from 60 PLN per page from Polish. Other languages start from 70-80 PLN per page. You receive a precise quote within about 30 minutes of sending your document scan.
A standard 1-2 page document is usually ready the next business day. Longer or more complex documents may take 2-3 business days. Same-day urgent service is available for shorter English/German documents when confirmed after reviewing the scan.

Only if you need the translation certified as matching the original. In that case, present the original when picking up the translation. For unsigned or electronic documents, the original is not required.
English, German, Italian, French, Dutch, and Ukrainian. Monika Sypniewicz personally handles English and German translations. Other languages are handled by trusted, Ministry-registered colleagues.
Yes, quotes are always free and come with no obligation. Just send a scan or photo of your document to info@tlumaczeniaprzysiegle.wroclaw.pl and you will receive a price and timeline, usually within 30 minutes.
Yes. The entire process can be handled remotely: send your document scan by email, receive a quote, approve it, and get a scan of the finished translation back. You can pick up the stamped original at the office or have it mailed to you.
Bank transfer, BLIK (Polish mobile payment), or cash. A receipt or invoice is provided. Your choice.
Polish sworn translations are accepted across the EU/EEA. Outside the EU, some institutions may additionally require an apostille or consular legalization, depending on the destination country. You can obtain an apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a regional court.

Yes. Since 2018, sworn translations signed with a qualified electronic signature are legally equivalent to paper copies with a wet stamp. Many institutions, including courts and government offices, accept digitally signed PDF translations. You can also collect a physical copy at the office on ul. Ruska 41/42.
The office is at ul. Ruska 41/42, suite 18, in the centre of Wroclaw. It is a 2-minute walk from the Civil Registry Office (USC) and 15 minutes from Wroclaw City Hall. Open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:00 CET.
