What is a sworn translation in Poland?
A sworn translation is completed by a translator registered with the Polish Ministry of Justice. It includes a certification clause, the translator's stamp and signature, and a repertorium number.
When do I need a sworn translation?
You need one when the institution receiving a foreign-language document asks for a sworn translation. Common examples include birth and marriage certificates, diplomas, school transcripts, driving licences and powers of attorney.
Who will translate my document?
I am a sworn translator of English and complete those translations personally. For other languages, I work with sworn translators of the relevant language.
How much does a sworn translation cost?
English and German translations start from 55 PLN per standard page (1,125 characters including spaces) into Polish and from 60 PLN per page from Polish. Other languages start from 70 to 80 PLN per page. You receive an exact quote after sending the document.
How long does a translation take?
The deadline depends on the language, length and type of document. Short standard documents are often ready the next business day, but I always confirm the actual deadline before you place the order.
How quickly will I get a quote?
You will receive the price and deadline usually within about 30 minutes during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:00 local time.
Can I send my document by email?
Yes. Simply email a clear scan or photo to info@tlumaczeniaprzysiegle.wroclaw.pl. That is enough to prepare both a quote and the translation itself.
Do I need to show the original document?
A clear scan or photo of the complete document is enough for the quote. If the original needs to be shown before certification, I will tell you in the quote.
Can you certify a translation prepared by someone else?
No. I prepare my own sworn translation from the source document. I do not certify translations completed by others.
Do you arrange apostilles or legalisation?
No. I translate documents, including any attached apostille or legalisation. You arrange those formalities with the relevant authority.
Which languages are available?
English, German, Italian, French, Dutch, and Ukrainian. Ask about availability for other language pairs.
Is the quote free?
Yes. Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Send a scan or photo through the quote form and you will receive the price and deadline within 30 minutes during office hours.
Do I need an appointment to visit the office?
No. You can walk into the office at ul. Ruska 41/42, suite 18, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:00 local time.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer, BLIK (Polish mobile payment), or cash. A receipt or invoice is provided. Your choice.
Are Polish sworn translations valid abroad?
Requirements depend on the institution receiving the document. Before ordering, ask the recipient which language, type of translation and any additional formalities they require.
What types of documents can be sworn-translated?
Virtually any official document: birth, marriage, and death certificates, school transcripts and diplomas, driving licences, vehicle registration documents, criminal record certificates, contracts, powers of attorney, court judgments, company documents (KRS, NIP), and many others.

Where can I collect the translation?
You can collect it from the office at ul. Ruska 41/42, suite 18, in central Wroclaw. If you need another delivery method, mention it when asking for the quote.
Where is the office located?
The office is at ul. Ruska 41/42, suite 18, in the centre of Wroclaw. It is a 2-minute walk from the Civil Registry Office (USC) and 15 minutes from Wroclaw City Hall. Open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:00 local time.
